Michael Frederick Thompson. My friend, my brother-in-law. I got to meet and know Michael in 1962 when I started to court his sister, Wendy, who I later married. Wendy was so proud of her brother and his achievements and gaining his Ph.D. and became Dr Thompson! Imagine! Michael was a good brother-in-law to me and offered support and advice throughout our 59 years of friendship. He had a wicked sense of humour and introduced me to the Goon show, which he loved. He was saddened by and devastated when Wendy and I decided to move to Australia but again supported and understood. Michael lost his sister Wendy to Parkinson's disease on the 18th of July 2020 and now, just over a year later, sadly, Michael has joined his sister in eternal rest. May they both together Rest in Peace.
